    Description

For sale is a 1960 / 5720 Bank of Israel 50 Lirot note. This Israeli currency features beautiful artwork of a young woman and man looking towards the future, and it was produced when modern Israel was herself a youngster - just 12 years old - and getting ready for her Bat Mitzvah!
This stunning banknote has just come back from PCGS Banknote Grading with a grade of 63 PPQ (Premium Paper Quality) CHOICE UNC (Uncirculated).
    IS THIS MAGIC?
Please compare the fourth and fifth photos. They both show the reverse side of the note. However, when the reverse is held up to the light, the two youngsters magically appear on the left and right sides of the note!!! This paper money is 61 years old, and technology was not nearly as sophisticated as it is today, yet the Bank of Israel was able to create this wonderful illusion! I wonder how many people who owned this note uncovered this very special mystery that had been built into it.
Thank you very much for your consideration of this exceptional, "magical" 50 Lirot Note from the Land of Milk and Honey!
