Description
Dean Roath passed away in 2005 on my birthday, May 26.Here's the story.
I have owned the knife for roughly 18 or 19 years. When the 2004 movie The Alamo was being filmed in Texas, a friend of mine had a brother who was an extra in the film. He told me that the extras were able to carry their own weapons (knives) while shooting. I loaned him 3 knives to be carried while shooting. One, my friend bought from me and 2 others I kept. One was a Gorden Johnson hunter and the other was this one by Dean Roath. I have a picture of the Johnson knife but no pix of the other 2. I was told that it was difficult to have outside pix taken. Sounds right. I will supply a letter explaining that with the purchase of this knife.
You may or may not believe the story but the knife is desirable in any event.
