Low-profile molded RJ45 boots for strong strain relief in tough environments and simple connection into high density patch panels
    Product Features
Our patch cables are made of 100% bare copper wire and 50 micron gold plated RJ45 plugs.
The contact of RJ45 plug used for Ethernet patch cable is gold plated to maintain optimum conductivity with RJ45 jack (receptacle on the wall). There are several kinds of gold plating thickness available in the market. The lowest grade is called flash gold, and the thickness is mere 3 to 6 micron. The highest is 50 micron.
The difference the thickness makes is the aging. Contacts of RJ45 plug and jack are exposed to moisture in the air that causes corrosion on metal surface. Gold is well known as high conductive and non-corrosive material. Thicker gold plating better protects contact material from corrosion (thus keeps stable Ethernet connection speed) for longer years. Especially when installing patch cables in high humidty or not-clean air environment, 50 micron gold plated plug and jack is recommended.
We do not use CCA (aluminum wire).
    CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum)
CCA wire uses an aluminum conductor that is coated with copper and it is less expensive than pure copper. The use of CCA wire in twisted pair network cable is not permitted by the IEC or CENELEC in their cable standards, and 3P; an organization that provides third party testing for compliance with industry standards for cable manufacturers strongly advises against the use of CCA wire in twisted pair network cable. The use of CCA wire directly contravenes both CAT5e and CAT6 specifications which denote the use of copper conductors.
CCA has higher attenuation properties than pure copper cable, this will result in more packets of data having to be retransmitted when it is corrupted or lost at the physical layer. This effect is particularly prevalent on longer cable channels on or near the 100meter maximum and will at best lead to a slower network for most users of CCA twisted pair cable.
In addition to less desirable electrical qualities CCA wire presents a number of physical problems for installers ultimately leading to delay and additional expense. CCA wire has a lower tensile strength than pure copper and as such the cable can be damaged through pulling, with conductors or the whole cable breaking. CCA wire in twisted pair applications also has less tolerance for bend radius.

    FAQ
    TIA/EIA
TIA/EIA is abbreviation of Telecommunication Industry Association and Electronics Industry Alliance that sets telecommunication standards in the US. Our patch cable complies with the latest TIA/EIA telecommunication cable standards.
    T-568B Wiring
There are two standards for Ethernet wiring, 568A and 568B. 568B is the most prevalent in the US, and Our patch cable follow 568B wiring standards.
    UTP and STP
UTP is Unshielded Twisted Pair and STP is Shielded Twisted Pair. STP cable is wrapped in metal foil or braid. Both have the same Ethernet communication performance, but STP has better protection against Electro-Magnetis noise from outside. UTP is accepted for residential and general commercial installation.
    CM rated jacket
CM for communication. It is set by UL (Underwriters labolatory) to indicate the wire jacket material safety. CM rating is safe to use in residential and general commercial installtions.
    24AWG and Stranded
AWG (American Wire Gauge) indicates wire thickness. Higher the number, thinner the wire. 23AWG 24awg or 26AWG is commonly used for ethernet cables. Stranded wire is a bundle of hair thin wires as oposed to solid wire that is single solid wire. Stranded wire is more flexible than solid wire and commonly used for indoor network wiring such as patch cable.
    RoHS
Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive. This directive restricts the use of hazardous materials in the manufacture of electronic and electrical equipments. Our cables are all RoHS compliant.
