The Rossignol X-Ium line is a top-end model line, and the S3 Skate is one of the highest-performing skate skis you can get. For high-end recreational skiers and racers, the X-Ium Premium S3 Skate skis with bindings will get you where you need to go, and quite fast. As with most other skis, it all starts with the core. Rossignol uses a Nomex core that consists of ultra-lightweight Aramid fibers in a honeycomb shape. This creates an extremely stiff, yet incredibly light core that can withstand a ton of use. Skate skiers at this level are quite strong, so the skis must be durable as well as high performing. The strength to weight ratio of the X-Ium Premium S3 skis is quite simply off the charts. Each and every movement that you put ino the ski gets delivered right back at you. For skaters, this direct transfer of energy pays huge dividends when you're striding through the trails. They're extremely smooth and stable, and even with a 44/43 mm midsection, you get a ton of positive feedback. Weighing a paltry 540 grams per ski, they're feather light and will reduce fatigue all day long. The Race Skate bindings are attached to an IFP plate that allows the skier to move the binding forward or back in order to generate either more grip or glide. *Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
